Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been an Anne of Green Gables fan. When I learned that baby number 2 was in fact a little girl, I just couldn’t wait to introduce Anne Shirley to her. Since Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novels are part of my all-time favorite books, it’s no coincidence that more that one title on my daughter’s bookshelves are related to Anne Shirley (read about Anne’s alphabet here).
I soon discovered the BabyLit series, which introduces all-time classics like Pride and Prejudice, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Aladdin, only to name a few, to babies and toddlers. Bright illustrations and simple text combine for a most enjoyable time discovering (or re-discovering) classics.
In this particular title, Jennifer Adams takes us on a tour of all the most important places in Anne Shirley’s universe: Green Gables, the orchard, the pond…

A very nice picture book for all Lucy Maud Montgomery’s fans.
